We live in a society that dissects us piece by piece, hiding behind the curtain of "structure" and "formality," selling us cures for the very malices it creates. We’re force-fed the idea that someone outside of us can grant us the qualities we’re conditioned to think that we lack. We live in a maze, and internalize it to the point where we let it break our self image and hijack the narrative in our heads as we lose the thread of our own voice until we become fragments of a story we didn't write — and we can’t even tell the difference.
Mente Macabre has partnered with a Canadian brand -- Studio Crudo -- that pushes for personal growth, self-discovery and self-creation. We want to highlight the complex struggles of trying to find ourselves in a world that's constantly policing who we are, while also showcasing the beauty of breaking limitations and transforming into who we can be.
We only have one life and it's up to us to take control of it. Don't wait to make your life your own.
